Renowned for its wind, hipsters, and hoppy beer, Wellington surely is the ‘Coolest Little Capital In The World’.
Despite the more common attractions of Wellington, such as Te Papa, the bucket fountain, and the cable car, I have come to love what lies beyond the CBD.
Wandering around Wellington’s bays, there’s a surprise around every corner; each bay having its own personality and harbouring unique communities.
If you fancy a brisk jaunt up the back of Brooklyn, you’ll be presented with stunning views of the harbour; or, when you’re wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you can seek refuge in the Botanical Gardens.
Wellington is, at its purist, a culmination of its people and its location. Its a diverse land with amazing people doing awesome things.
And I think that’s the greatest thing about Wellington. While it may seem small, if you open your eyes a little, you’ll find beauty around every corner.
